SITE CLOSURES
My site is going to be closed. What do I need to do?
- As soon as you are aware of a site closure, please email Patrick Tadlock at ptadlock@rfbo.org or call and leave a voicemail at 405-600-3151 with the site name, date(s) and meal(s) affected.
I need to change my site serving times. What do I need to do?
- It is important for us to communicate meal service times to the public and to the Oklahoma State Department of Education. To ensure that your Link2Feed meal service time is not affected, please email Patrick Tadlock at ptadlock@rfbo.org or call and leave a voicemail at 405-600-3151 with the site name, date(s) and meal(s) affected and new requested time of meal service.
How does the ordering process work?
- Metro sites: Your driver will deliver meals to your site daily and place them in the refrigerator (unless other arrangements have been made).
- Invoices will be sent electronically following your delivery – these invoices should be kept electronically and accessible at all times at your site.
- Non-metro sites: The site coordinator will receive a text message from our Help Desk three to four days prior to your order being placed. In order to receive this order, you are required to reply to this text message with any asks in regards to specific items (note: we cannot guarantee that all requests will be granted but will try to accommodate when possible).
- Once your order has been placed, you will need to pick up on your scheduled delivery date/location. See start up email for confirmation.
- Invoices will be sent electronically following your delivery – these invoices should be kept electronically and accessible at all times at your site.

What are the required meal components?
- Lunch/Dinner
- Meat or meat alternate: 2 oz
- Grain: 1 oz (whole grain rich)
- Vegetable: ½ cup
- Fruit or vegetable: ½ cup
- Milk: 1 cup
- Snack (choose one component from two of the four following categories):
- Meat or meat alternate: 1 oz
- Grain: 1 oz (whole grain rich)
- Fruit or vegetable: ¾ cup
- Milk: 1 cup
How often do I need to do nutrition lessons?
- You must do at least one nutrition lesson per month.
What reports need to be submitted monthly?
- The only thing that is required of all sites to be submitted monthly is the DHS Report.
- If you have site cook timesheets, those will also be uploaded monthly.
How do I submit site cook timesheets and/or receipts for reimbursement?
- These documents should be uploaded to the Kids Café Document Portal. Multiple documents may be submitted within the same form.
Where is the link to the DHS report?
Refrigerator/Freezer Trouble
- It is important to keep a temperature log for both your refrigerator(s) and freezer(s). Checking at the beginning and/or end of the day will help you keep a consistent gauge on temperature fluctuations and warn you of any issues. Please utilize the freezer/fridge logs daily. If you need a thermometer, please contact Patrick Tadlock at ptadlock@rfbo.org or call and leave a voicemail at 405-600-3151.
- If your refrigerator or freezer has gone out and you have spoiled food, please contact Patrick Tadlock at ptadlock@rfbo.org or call and leave a voicemail at 405-600-3151. She can help you decide the best course of action and get more food if needed.
Heating/Reheating Directions
- The meals that come in black plastic trays are oven and microwave safe.
- From frozen, bake in oven at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
- From thawed, heat in microwave for two-minute intervals or bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
- If using a warming unit, place in warmer on high for one and a half to two hours before serving
- Meals must reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees before serving.
- Unless noted, reheated meals must be discarded if not served within two hours of removing from heat source.
