Hope’s Kitchen

Hope’s Kitchen produces fresh, healthy meals to students participating in Food for Kids Programs, like Kid's Cafe and Summer Feeding Program.  During the school year, Hope’s Kitchen sends out over 1,000 meals each day.  During the summer months, that number rises to nearly 6,000 meals per day.  All Hope’s Kitchen meals meet USDA childhood nutrition standards, and the majority are prepared by volunteers.

Hope's Kitchen opened in fall 2015.

  • Volunteers must be at least 12 years old.
  • Be prepared to work in a cooled environment.
  • Volunteers will be provided with hair nets, aprons, and gloves.
  • If you are feeling sick and think you may be contagious, please skip volunteering until you’re feeling better.

If you’d like to become more involved and make an ongoing volunteer commitment as a Pillar Volunteer, Hope’s Kitchen is looking for volunteer kitchen assistants to help with meal preparation and facility cleaning and maintenance.  Click here for more information.
