A program of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the Food & Resource Center in Moore was established in 2013 and is a client-choice pantry that allows clients to select their own food, rather than receiving a pre-packed or standard bag of groceries. The Food & Resource Center in Moore is one of 14 Food & Resource Centers in central and western Oklahoma. These sites provide greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables, are open longer hours and provide access to additional resources that address the issue of food insecurity.
In 2019, the Food & Resource Center in Moore distributed the equivalent of more than
1.48 million meals and provided food assistance to 19,127 households. The site also distributes Commodities Supplemental Food Program boxes and is a Summer Feeding Program location.
