TeAnna’s children — Ray, Lincoln and Elijah — typically get balanced meals every day from their school … and usually some snacks to bring home for the weekend.

But when schools close for summer vacation, the boys face a personal hunger crisis of their own. TeAnna lives on a limited budget, and sometimes near the end of the month, it’s tough to make ends meet — and to put food on the table.

That’s why she’s grateful for the Regional Food Bank’s Summer Feeding Program. With a distribution site in her own neighborhood, TeAnna is able to get what she — and her hungry, growing boys — need to make it through.

“Thank you greatly,” she says. “This helps a lot.”

Thanks to support from the Regional Food Bank, the USDA, the Oklahoma Department of Education, the community and you, children 18 and under receive nutritious meals and/or snacks through the Summer Feeding Program at more than 130 locations in 31 central and western Oklahoma counties. More than 100 sites served almost 7,000 children last summer.

Your concern for children throughout our state is made clear by your support. Thank you!
