AMF Bowling Centers offer free bowling from December 11 to December 20th
Dec. 7, 2009
Three area AMF Bowling Centers have announced plans to offer free bowling this month. Any guests that bring in a canned food item will receive a free game of bowling at the time of donation as well as a voucher for another game to be bowled in the spring.
AMF has partnered with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to provide this opportunity. Bowling is often used as a way to raise funds for organizations and in this current economic climate; every organization is looking for ways to meet their needs. "We are pleased to be able to provide this opportunity to the public to assist us in meeting the needs of the Regional Food Bank," said Jonathan Fisher, General Manager of AMF Moore Lanes in Moore. "We think that this will be a fun event and that people will really like the free game."
"When a guest makes a donation to the Regional Food Bank at one of our participating centers we will give them one free game that day per person. They will also get a voucher to come back and bowl at a later time," Fisher added. Bulk items will also be accepted. Free games will be available during open bowling sessions. Shoe rental will not be included with this offer.
This is only part of the food drive that AMF is holding. AMF is also challenging their league bowlers to bring items as well.
The local AMF Centers participating are AMF Moore Lanes, AMF Sunny Lanes (Del City), and AMF Boulevard Lanes (Edmond). Directions to all centers can by found at AMF.COM or by calling the local center.
