Students Against HungerHeart Can

Join us for the 10th annual Students Against Hunger Food and Fund Drive, which benefits the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and its partner agencies.  Every dollar donated will provide five meals to feed hungry Oklahomans this winter.  Our goal for 2014 is to raise enough food and funds between September 29 and November 7 provide at least 450,000 meals for the hungry.  The only way we will reach that goal is with the help of your school and your students!

If your school is in Oklahoma City, Edmond, Yukon, or Moore sign up your school here. If your school is located in a different city, sign up here. The food and funds you collect will stay in your city and arrive just in time for the holidays.  This food drive is an opportunity for students to positively impact the lives of people in their own community. All of the donations collected by your school will benefit our partner agencies.

Food Drive materials will be delivered to you the week of September 22 (before September 29).  Access the 2014 Teacher Tool Kit, which is full of tips and tools to help you hold a successful food drive.

Middle, elementary and high schools that collect the most pounds per student will receive awards and media recognition in honor of their accomplishment.  Last year, Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School raised 112,500 pounds of food for hungry Oklahomans.  The school has collected more than 907,500 pounds of food through this food drive since 1987.  Their goal is to pass the 1 million mark this year!

Last year, 211 schools raised nearly 190,000 pounds of food $59,849 in net proceeds. We need your help more than ever this year to fight hunger in Oklahoma!  This provided 456,473 meals for hungry Oklahomans! View photos from last year.

The Students Against Hunger Food and Fund Drive is presented by the Oklahoma County Bar Association – Young Lawyers Division, Devon Energy Corporation and Chesapeake Energy Corporation.
