OKLAHOMA CITY — Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma today announced that it will once again raise money for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma during the run of LYRIC’S A CHRISTMAS CAROL presented by Devon Energy, November 29 through December 28 at the Plaza Theatre. Funds will be raised through the collection of cash donations at the end of each performance.
“We are proud to partner with the Food Bank for the third year in a row during LYRIC’S A CHRISTMAS CAROL,” said Paula Stover, Lyric’s executive director. “Those in need are all around us and what better time to give back a little extra than during the holidays? Every dollar helps.”
According to the Regional Food Bank, more than 675,000 Oklahomans will wake up today and wonder where their next meal will come from. Oklahoma ranks among the top five states in the nation in the number of people who are hungry.
